A childhood in Roelofarendsveen made the flower parade one of Teun’s first encounters with the beauty of imagination. Some decades later, he reinvented the magic he felt as a child, and created the One Man Flower Parade. An ode to folk art from The Netherlands and abroad, to the power of imagination, and an antidote to the boring everyday life by bringing a smile on people’s faces. But above all, an ode to the power of community, in the strange and isolated times of the Covid-19 pandemic. It might be a one man parade, but it is all about solidarity and giving back to the people.
